Issues with Midway USA Shipping?

I have been ordering more from Midway because I can pick it up at Midway. When I have it shipped from Midway it takes the post office a week to get it the 50 miles to my house. Most times it travels 75 miles on the other side of where I live then back to another town 30 miles the other way. Then back to me. Interesting to check each day to see my stuff has gotten to that day.

I have the same experience. It seems like they ship all my packages to Kansas City first and then back to Eastern MO. Passing within 100 yds. of their building in Columbia in the process.

The imperfect human being I am, I guess I’ll stick with them for awhile through trying days.

It’s not like they’re sending me an artificial heart or replacement liver.

I got an email from them the other day apologizing for the lousy shipping.

I haven't bought anything from them in a loooooong time.

My order placed on the tenth and shipped the same day was due yesterday ( in PA ). Tracking states it left the KC MO UPS Mail Innovations facility early on the 13th, and sailed off to nowhere after that. No change or updates as of 1645 today.

From now on I'll shop locally even if I have do some driving to get what I need. The worse part is when I tried to use the free shipping discount Midway wouldn't let me. They said it had expired so I'm paying for this mess. I really wanted them for tomorrow, but I din't see much of a chance of that happening.

Package got to NJ 4 PM yesterday. I was able to contact UPS also They said it won't be here until the 23rd. They told me if I wanted it faster I should have paid more!!! Crazy.

I placed an order on the 9th. 3 hours later I got an email. YOUR ORDER HAS SHIPPED.

2 days later I got a second email. Larry was apologizing. The plague has caused an increase in mail-order sales, which has made shipping take longer, and he wanted me to know that they were doing the very best they could, and he was sorry if something went wrong.

The ETA they gave me was the 22nd. That is 4 days from now.

My order arrived yesterday.

I have no problem with Midway shipping.

An update on posts 40, 46 and 47. After the package got to Mail Innovations in NJ on the 17th, it was on the way to the Post Office the 18th. Once again it's gone to nowhere. The PO got the package info sent to them but no package as of ten minutes ago.

I contacted Midway yesterday. They said to contact them if the package wasn't here on 23rd but to wait 48 hours after that before I contact them, so they were useless. I told Midway we were way past the first arrival date of the 17th but that didn't matter to them. In the meantime I went to the local gun store this morning and got three used Colt magazines for $30.

Midway sent me a E-mail saying that it shipped the next day the 11th..........
however I think it sat on the loading dock until Monday that UPS had a tracking number for it ............
and it arrived in Friday the 17th.......
in only 3.5 days, at the front door.

Can't complain about that kind of service for here in Nevada.

Early this morning it got notice that my package is now in PA and would be delivered today. An hour later later a new notice states it will now be here Monday.

I ordered something from Amazon Monday that shipped from Texas Monday and will be here today.

My sad tail of woe is over! It got here just now. What a mess. The Amazon order from Texas also got here.

I knew I could not be the only one having issues with Midway. That said, my problem has been receiving damaged items due to POOR PACKING. Earlier in the year, I received a scope that had been packed in an oversized box with just a few of those air pillows tossed in. The factory box was crushed in on one end. That was returned and replaced. Next item was a red dot sight packed in a way too big box with a few air pillows tossed in. That box was all smashed up. My mailman had taken pictures and as I was out in the yard when he pulled up, I opened the box in his presence. Amazingly, the red dot box was unscathed. I sent Midway an e-mail on that one, as they no longer answer their customer service number. A few weeks ago, they had a Sightron scope on sale that I could not pass up. I immediately ordered one and sent an e-mail to PLEASE pack this one better than the last. When the scope arrived, the shipping box was again crushed with damage to the factory box. They did reply to my first e-mail several days after I received the damaged item offering hope I would get my scope in one piece. I did take another chance with them when I ordered a RCBS match die set that was on sale with a factory rebate to boot. They simply put the die box in a plastic bag and sent it on its way. The factory box had opened during transit and the dies were simply loose in the bag resulting in a bent de-cap pin. The first thing I noticed was that the factory box had been cut open previously right along the end label seal. They sent me a return on this deal. I was so pissed that I called RCBS customer service to report this. They assured me that once those dies are put in the plastic box along with the instructions, the box is then sealed with the proper end label. I just sent the die set back yesterday in a proper box with the plastic bag they originally used for padding. I told them to please return my replacement dies in THIS SAME BOX! I told them one more damaged item from them and I would give them a timeout until they get their act together. I have been a Midway customer for over 30 years, and I have never seen anything like this. They are using untrained personnel to throw orders in the first box available to fill these orders. Are you following this thread LARRY POTTERFIELD? I am trying to give you some constructive feedback...............tdan

I know of three outer forums with threads like this. You're not alone.
