I knew I could not be the only one having issues with Midway. That said, my problem has been receiving damaged items due to POOR PACKING. Earlier in the year, I received a scope that had been packed in an oversized box with just a few of those air pillows tossed in. The factory box was crushed in on one end. That was returned and replaced. Next item was a red dot sight packed in a way too big box with a few air pillows tossed in. That box was all smashed up. My mailman had taken pictures and as I was out in the yard when he pulled up, I opened the box in his presence. Amazingly, the red dot box was unscathed. I sent Midway an e-mail on that one, as they no longer answer their customer service number. A few weeks ago, they had a Sightron scope on sale that I could not pass up. I immediately ordered one and sent an e-mail to PLEASE pack this one better than the last. When the scope arrived, the shipping box was again crushed with damage to the factory box. They did reply to my first e-mail several days after I received the damaged item offering hope I would get my scope in one piece. I did take another chance with them when I ordered a RCBS match die set that was on sale with a factory rebate to boot. They simply put the die box in a plastic bag and sent it on its way. The factory box had opened during transit and the dies were simply loose in the bag resulting in a bent de-cap pin. The first thing I noticed was that the factory box had been cut open previously right along the end label seal. They sent me a return on this deal. I was so pissed that I called RCBS customer service to report this. They assured me that once those dies are put in the plastic box along with the instructions, the box is then sealed with the proper end label. I just sent the die set back yesterday in a proper box with the plastic bag they originally used for padding. I told them to please return my replacement dies in THIS SAME BOX! I told them one more damaged item from them and I would give them a timeout until they get their act together. I have been a Midway customer for over 30 years, and I have never seen anything like this. They are using untrained personnel to throw orders in the first box available to fill these orders.
