It's over.....maybe

MR2 looks like a great alternative.

The ammo purchase scheme sounds like it has the potential to be brutal on price and availability if Internet sellers won't even ship to NY. I figured you'd at least be able to buy on the Net and ship to a registered ammo dealer, then pay a fee to the ammo dealer like a gun transfer. What a mess....

You WILL be able to have ammo shipped to an FFL for "transfer" to you for some fee. It was reported that the NYSP had the fee @$10 initially but said it would rise to $20 soon.Of course, dealers will probably charge extra for any "paperwork". The FFL will be taking down your info(?) though, no one really wants that.
I have enough ammo to last me until I find the exit.

Maybe he was

Seems to me that coming out now with such a statement is effectively playing safe politically. Where was this guy before the law was passes or immediately after it was passed? Why wait till after someone else takes the risk to oppose the law?

Again maybe the guy did speak out publicly prior to this but as often as not political types prefer to jump on someone else's bandwagon rather than risking their own.

To his credit, he was pretty vocal throughout the whole fiasco.

I suppose I would have my wife register as an ammo seller. She could buy then sell me the ammo. I'd only pay half price so she could report a loss on her business taxes. :D

How can that moron judge say that the seven round limit is unconstitutional because a criminal won't follow it but also insinuate that a criminal will not use any other weapon that is included in that unconstitutional law?

That Sir, is liberal logic to the fullest.

Wait until the next hunting season to see some real logistical chaos.

This is the first of the freedoms. A friend of mine refused a flu shot a couple of days ago and her doctor told her it isn't official yet but soon if you refuse a doctors "preventative treatment", they will have to refuse to see you anymore. Also, at the pediatrician they are now asking among their list of questions..."Do you have firearms in the home?". This is in Missouri boys and girls!
I am not a, the sky is falling person, but get ready to fight and invest in our freedoms, all of them, because they are coming for them.

Granted most people will not even answer that question from a doctor with any response. There is no way for them to confirm a response one way or the other they are just hoping the ones who own guns will answer yes. I'd look for another doctor if I was asked that
