iver johnson help!

my dad has an old iver johnson 22 revovler. Its the sealed 8 with the 2.5 inch barrel. Well when you pull the trigger it hangs up and you have to push it back forward to fire agian. any ideas on what to check or do to it?

If you're saying that the trigger doesn't return forward on it's own, the trigger return spring needs replaced. I do believe these are leaf springs. Brownells sells some fitzall type springs for similar (H&R/IJ/Hopkins & Allen, etc) pistols that can be made to fit.
