J-frame pocket carry help!

Is that a pistol in your pocket or are you just happy to be here?

I haven't figured out the picture thing yet. Sorry about the additional pics.

The relaxed fit seem to improve things....
But, you could wear a pink tutu with an Uzi slung under your privates, and nobody would notice........
they are all too busy tweeting and texting and otherwise burying their heads in electronic devices!

another vote for the Wrangler relaxed fit. Carry On!

BTW...which model Wrangler are they, maybe I'll give em a try.

I'm not sure the model as I already threw away the tags! They just said "relaxed fit" on them at Wal-Mart. Size 36-29 for a 5' 7" 175 lbs me.

The bad news is I can tell it's a gun.
The good news is you can't tell whether it's stainless or blue.

J/k...no one is looking that close to notice...and if they are, they probably like you. wink wink.

I think that a lot of gun owners obsess about not printing or otherwise signalling that they are carrying.

Most people don't look for people carrying concealed, and that seems to include some police officers.

I've sat in a room talking with people about carrying firearms and no one has ever appeared to notice that I was carrying. One person even mentioned that he wouldn't feel safe if he knew anyone in the room was carrying. Another person and I looked at each other and smiled, but only because we knew and he didn't.

For the OP, I carry a J frame in a Mika holster and if I bothered to take pictures, it would look much like yours do. I don't wear jeans, but with cargo pants, khakis (what we used to call Chinos) and even a suit, there is a bulge, but no one seems to notice.

At least no one has asked me if I have a gun in my pocket or are just glad to see them. :D

It took months for my wife to even notice. Which maybe isn't a good thing.

You are fine with the jeans you picked

It's common to be a little paranoid when you first carry

Most people have their nose buried in their phone. You could probably walk around with a Smith and Wesson 500 on your hip in the mall and not even get a raised eyebrow.

Your setup is fine.

Be safe

(Wrangler Relaxed Boot cut are my favorite jeans)

A Model 36 in a Mika pocket holster is the ultimate pocket carry combo. Other people won't notice, and soon you won't notice either.

I agree. Although I'd have said something like "most people walk around with their head up...." :D

I don't think the bulge screams gun by any means. A lot of people carry a lot of stuff in their pockets (I'm one of them) but I certainly can't tell you have a firearm in your pocket. If you want to try something different try a pair of 511 pants the ones I'm talking about look like dickies and they are comfortable but they are made to facilitate pocket carry of a small auto or revolver and still look nice. I have a pair and I have had excellent results.

The new jeans are an improvement. It is more of a bump now then a well rounded bulge. You should feel a lot more comfortable with those pants.

If a bulging pocket screams "He's got a gun!", I must make people think I'm armed for battle. My J-frame, holstered, is in my right front pocket. The left front has my cell phone, keys, rescue inhaler, a Swiss Army knife (right now a Super Tinker), sometimes another pocketknife, a nail clipper and a comb. Left hip pocket, a wallet that is too full of non-monetary stuff most of the time to be good for my back. Right hip pocket, a handkerchief and an assisted opening knife or Spyderco Endura.

Bulges all over the place, and nobody pays the slightest attention. I'm sure that's partly because I'm 152 years old, but they didn't notice when I was younger either.

Since you are new to ccw the paranoia will go away in no time. Other guys should not be looking at your bulges anyway, its just not natural…

yea, this thread is starting to get a little creepy. Aren't there any ladies here with pics of their jean pockets we need to evaluate? :D
