Looking for a recommendation for a pocket holster, I have a 637 I want to carry occasionally. Looking at either a Galco or DeSantis. If there is a different manufacturer option please let me know.

I've used Galco leather for quite awhile and am very satisfied with the holster. It covers the trigger, stays in the pocket when the gun is removed and it keeps the weapon in the same spot while not revealing its presence to the outside world.

Laugh if you will, but I continue to use Blackhawk's continuation of the Uncle Mike's cordura (I think?) pocket rig. $9.95 at Walmart. I have found other pocket rigs allow the gun to "print" in that triangular gun shape through the outer fabric of the slacks. This does not happen with this inexpensive rig. Detractors of this rig say it loses shape through wear, but I have not found this to be true and I use it daily. The squared bottom helps to maintain the gun in an upright position in a more roomy pocket.

I've not tried the rigs espoused by the other posters and I'm sure they are excellent. But I might try the above $9.95 rig, at least temporarily. Nothing to lose.

I use two different ones, generally. For kydex, check out Armored Carry Holsters (formerly called Double Tap holsters): Armored Carry kydex pocket holster I've found it's probably my favorite pocket holster and it's a breeze to draw from!

For leather, I use a Mika round bottom (as mentioned in posts above).

I sometimes use the Nemesis, especially when I want to carry a speedstrip along with in the same pocket.

Many good options out there! Don't think there's a bad choice amongst them...

I had an uncle mikes nylon forever, but it got so one corner was folding under and tried to turn the 642 sideways in my pocket. Replaced it with a Don Hume pocket holster..like the leather holster far better. From what I've read, the Mika holsters are a bit...well padded? Some say they're way to thick, others love them. My best advice..take a look at what kind of pants you generally wear. The pockets aren't all shaped the same, and you may end up getting something that won't fit right, and you'll hate it! Look at the shape and then match that with the pocket holster so it will fit properly!

Never seen a Mika that was padded, but I'm sure he'll custom make one if you want.
