two-bit cowboy- Not sure I understand your point. The +P is 38 Special ammo. How is shooting it through a 38 Special revolver "pushing the gun further than it was intended?" The basic problem most people have in discussing +P is that they simply cannot grasp the fact that mainstream factory +P is not a hot load. It is actually a little lower in chamber pressure than the caliber was designed to be. Lawyers caused the bar to be lowered and pressures reduced.
