Just got my 15-22 - Need more mags and what mods should I do (binary trigger too)

Eric300, is just like my, self only I purposely avoided listing what all I have bought for mine and how much it cost me, I'm sure I'm pushing $1500.

Have a look on the picture thread to see all the gun tart bits you can add. Internally its probably just the volquartsen extractor, even though that isn't NEEDED in most cases, and whatever trigger is your preference. The factory one isn't bad to be honest, that also doesn't NEED to be replaced.

If you're going to use the gun for mini-rifle/speed steel type comps a McFadden loader is a thumb-saver! Less time loading, more time shooting and stage planning!

I may be wrong but i don't think there is a binary trigger that drops in for the 15-22, but i'm sure someone, somewhere will have milled out their receiver to get one to fit!

I've read several reports online that the Franklin Armory BFSIII trigger is a drop-in replacement.

Anybody have any experience with a FostecH Echo Sport binary trigger in their 15-22? I've read where it'll work if you leave out the trigger lock, but haven't actually seen any videos of people shooting a 15-22 so equipped.

I converted mine to 6920 spec. There's a thread that details how.

Please bring me up to speed. What is the gain of a binary trigger outside of faster mag dumps? I'm fine with fast mag dumps as they are kind of fun from time to time but is there a real world application? Most of us can go pretty fast with a standard trigger. I know about suppressive fire but not sure that applies here.

I get the fun factor and have no problem with binary triggers but is it a "need" item and if so what for? I'm getting old and may have missed the memo.

That's pretty much it. To me, it's a range toy. Better than a bump stock as far as accuracy but still a range toy.
