Just got my MOE in FDE, and the mag is FDE also!

I just happened to pop into this thread. Heaven knows how.
But I must ask, are you guys really discussing the color of your
magazines for your 22 rifles from the factory?
What does it matter what color your magazines are?
Black OR dark earth.
Are you sniping at varmints that can discern vague colors at
great distances?
Do you want to be tacticle?

I just saw your concern about when these would be available and
had to chuckle.
It seems like such a trivial concern with all the other larger issues at hand.

If the PMag only came in black and guns suddenly starting shipping with tan it stands to reason people may be curious as to when they might be able to get some.

It seems like such a trivial thing to be concerned with why people care about new products coming out with all the other larger issues at hand. Police being shot, famine in Africa, talk about people in government wanting to restrict magazine capacity on a nationwide scale.

You're right, I'll not pay it a second thought and focus my efforts on being a better human.

I've been creeping for a long time on here. I have a DSWXXXX model (it shoots federal bulk like a champ). Allen Frame finally inspired me to post.

I too want to focus on larger issues at hand. So, I ask you all this question:

Does anyone know if an o.d. green option might be available for the magazines?

Krylon has every option you can think of. Some paints are specially formulated for polymer.

To paint the mags do you just take it apart, tape off top, bottom, and slide for the assist buttons then spray away??

Wow, I LIKE IT... that is what I plan on doing with mine when I can pick it up on Nov. 9th. Mine came in last friday, I went up to check it out, and it only had a one black 25 magazine. I even ordered the M&P with a flash hider since I have a Jerry Miculek compensator for it as well. I ordered two 10/25 S&W mags from S&W but they only show black as well, since I live in the great state of "Commifornia" I need to support the local laws being a good worker you know.... Good job.. keep us informed.

I think if I wanted these FDE ones, I'd just take it to a local guy to get duracoated or do it myself since I don't know where there would be any in CA hehe.

I'd buy some 10 rd shorties in FDE. Heck I'd take some 10 rd long mags in FDE. Why buy and then spray, if you can simply buy. FDE only available in 25 rd capacity though. Sticking to black for now.

Yup, only if we were allowed more than 10 rounds (less reloading means more shooting and more fun); color is simply eye candy.

By "we" I mean CA residents and others who are protected from those nasty high cap magazines.

All the pictures I have seen of the FDE version had a black magazine in them. Today I finally got my rifle (I want to go to the range, like, right now! ) and the magazine is Dark Earth, not black! Has anyone else received a new FDE version lately? Did yours come with a black or FDE magazine (25 round)?

Does anyone know if additional magazines are available anywhere in FDE yet? I don't see them on the S&W accessory site so I'm assuming they're new and probably aren't available except on the rifle itself.

They have a good price on the MOE rifle. CA is so expensive haha, I've never seen it under $500. I got lucky and snagged it at $500 before dros & tax. Regular version is under $500 but I bet out of state, it's even cheaper still.

Of course, you can MOE any 15-22 by replacing the stock and pistol grip with the Magpul parts. You don't have to buy a completely new rifle...

Very nice, I just installed the quick release swivel in the rear receiver on my M&P. I just drilled 1/2" holes (were the MOE version has them) and epoxied the cups that hold the swivels. I ordered the MagPul FDE stock and MOE FDE grip. I've install Magpul front and rear MBUS in black since i didn't like the FDE color on backup sights (black works when you are trying to find the front sights, the FDE light color makes me loose focus on the sights). Very cool the mags come in FDE as well. Have you seen the MAGs on sales in that color yet?? I haven't.. Nice rifle...

MOE Mags FDE

Just got my FDE MOE model the other day, with the FDE mag plus 4 Picatinny rail covers, for $608 otd. I thought it was a decent price for this rifle. They are hard to find around here in the MOE FDE configuration. They also sold me two black hicap mags for $15/each...bonus! Gotta LOVE Colorado....already been to the range three or four times, it's close, and put around 500 rounds through it with no problems. I also have a NEBO flashlight/laser on it as well as a simmons 3-9x32 scope on it. It looks and shoots bad-***...Love this weapon...

G&R does have good pricing on the AR15-22 MOE in FDE. I got lucky and my local Police Supply house had a sale on so I ended up at about the same price as G&R if you count shipping and FFL fees.
