SO I have been looking around my area (Cocoa, FL) for a month or two trying to find the best deal on a M&P 9mm. I really did not know the difference between the Regular Full Size 9mm and the Pro 9mm until about a week ago. Most Regular Full size models were priced between $475-510.00 so when I stopped into my local and favorite gun shop and they had a Brand new M&P Pro 9mm (with 5" barrell) for $495.00 I ran to the bank as fast as I could and came back and purchased it. Has anyone ran into a Pro for cheaper than that? I feel like all of my searching and being patient payed off. Of course now I cannot stop reading about the Pro series on the internet and watching Youtube videos of peples reviews and testimonials (Which make me even more proud of my purchase) but I even had a dream last night about it.

Is it stupid to be this happy about a gun? lol I bought it specifically for learning and shooting IDPA. Can't wait until Wednesday of next week to pick it up and let you guys know what I think about it. I'm proficient with a Glock, and I hope I am even more happy with the M&P Pro than I and building myelf up to be. I'd like to hear about your opinions on the Glock 34 vs M&P 9mm Pro 5". Also any storys of picking one up for less than $500 would be great too.

I noticed someone on youtube comparing a SA-XDm 9mm (5.25) against an Standard M&P 9mm with a 4.25" Barrel.

THen you have him going through the video comparing them like they are even remotely similar. I thought he should be comparing the Pro vesion with the 5" Barrell otherwise he should be comparing the standard XD with a similar barrell size. And then he decides the XDm is better overall??? No shizzz... Actually I think that the SA-XD model guns are the perfect gun to pair up with the M&P Just as the Glocks are, they are all striker fire. Each manufacturer has a standard model in the 4" barrell sizes then you have the Improved XDm's that you can compare to the M&P Pro's or Glock Tactical & Practical versions. But to use one end of the spectrum to compare against the competing manufacturer with one of their guns from the opposite side of the spectrum is Assinine. Am I right or am I right?:D

That is seriously a SICK price! I bought my M&P 40 about a month or so ago for $485 after the guy took 10% off of it for me! You got the Pro for $10 more. I haven't seen them anywhere near that cheap online or locally. Good job man!!!

Nice find Eric!!! Once i made up my mind that I wanted the M&P 9 Pro it took me 6 weeks to find one. I ended up paying $555 for mine so you got a fantastic price on yours. I'm seeing them now (if you can find one) for $600+. You're going to love the 9Pro. It feels good in the hand and recoil is minimal so it's easy to bring back on target. It's dead on accurate as the shooter can make it. I love mine so much i just put a M&P 40 Pro with the 5" bbl on lay-away. Will get that one next month!!! Congratulations and enjoy. Post your range report when you get a chance.

Like I said, I was on a mission to hit every gun shop in town in hopes of simply finding a standard M&P 9mm for $500 or less. Never thought I would have ran into that. If anyone here is frm the Space Coast area, they may be familliar with the shop I got it from, B&H. They are a great shop, very friendly and they even just opened a Military/Police shop a few doors down. These guys are my new best friends. lol Im pretty sure that the 40 cal Standard FUll size was priced at $479.

I will DEF post the range report This Wednesday.

Congrats!!!!

I bought my LNIB Pro for $430 and just picked up a LNIB regular M&P (made in Oct, 2011) the other day for $375 (+tax)

Ok Im dumb, SO I know what LNIB means now... Damn that is a really good deal....I thought for sure I wouldn't find someone who had a better deal. But that is pretty damn good.

I bid $480 for a well shot 9L this week. Luckily I didn't get it and it sold for $485. I'd say you got a good deal.

I stop in b&h every time i'm in the area, have found some good deals there. Not into their no haggle policy, but it is what it is i guess.

Nice buy on the m&p pro,you got a brand new one, warrenty etc,for a little more than a lnib one.i'd say good deal, you for sure know it's history.

Like New In the Box.
Some incredible deals are available when a LGS sells a gun on deposit, the buyer forfits the deposit and the Dealer sells the gun less the deposit price. Note: Many dealers will put it back on the shelf as new. LNIB is subject to interpretation. There were also some guns bought in bulk by various organizations and ten reissued as needed, with some boxes sitting on shelves for decades, then they were traded to Major Arms Producers MAP for new plastic gritty cruncher pistols.

I bought a rifle case from them a few months ago, it was like $99, the guy asked the manager... Is this the price and he said, Yeah if it's on it. The next day they were all marked up to Like $115 or something.. Im hoping they did not price this one wrong. lol But if they did, It's mine now...

But BIll, it's worth every penny. I just say ouch because I know I can get one online if I wait for the auction to end, wait for it to ship, pay the FFL. Ughhhh. Probably spend about $565ish on an auction site.

lol I thought LNIB was some type of Military or Police discount at first.. lol Need to study my acronyms..

Bought mine "LNIB" (which is wasn't) from Cabelas for $500...it was two years old with factory sights. YOU got a great deal!!

I picked up my 9pro 5" used. I have had the G34 before too. I have been a Glock guy for the last 3 years or so. The G34 is a nice pistol but for some reason probably me I did not shoot it as well as my G19 or a buddy's G17. I thought it just moved slower for some reason. I like the stock trigger on the G34 way better, mainly because of being able to feel the reset much better. I have since done a trigger bar bend on mine and it has a nice strong reset on it now. I will not be missing the reset with my M&P anymore. My son has a G34 he shoots IDPA with too he loves it and shoots it well, Master Class. He has shot my M&P a little and really likes it too. He wants to shoot a match with it.
I have shot mine about 1500 rounds total and in 2 matches, I am really looking forward to the match this weekend with the trigger mod. It is growing on me and I believe I prefer it as a gaming gun over the Glock.
