Just Picked up My New M28-2, No Turkey

I bought this M28-2 on Funbroker 2 days before Thanksgiving.
After waiting a week and a half, my Payment Letter was returned.
Turns out the Seller was at War with the PO, over his Mailbox Location, and they were returning his mail to the senders.
I almost gave up, but the gun looked so nice that I overnighted payment with a Signature required. That would make the Carrier come to the door. So I just picked up my 28-2. I am very pleased, and the wait was well worth it. I don't see any evidence that it was ever fired. Now if I can find a 6" 27-2 in the same condition.

How many unfired Model 28-2 are being produced currently? I am a shooter also. I just turned down a 99+% specimen of a rather rare model because I would want to fire it. Save those for the collectors!

That's a pristine Model 28-2, I think it is a smart move to keep it that way. How many unfired (other than factory test firing), NIB Model 28's are still out there? I'm sure the number is growing smaller, so those that remain NIB will entice collectors to pony up more dough when they just have to have one for their collection.

I heartily agree. I am an accumulator / sporadic shooter, but I appreciate that there are many shooters and fewer and fewer pristine examples left.

These things were built to be shot! Nice gun, now you need a 6" M28!
