Hi all - I have been researching them for a while now and looking at different brands and calibers, reading online, looking at youtube videos, talking to friends, gun owners etc.
I finally decided I would buy a S&W M&P .40. I could not find a single one at the local scheels, sportsman warehouse etc -So, I was having to wait it out...
Yesterday, I went to a gun show at the local fairgrounds and as soon as I walked in, the 1st vendor has a S&W M&P .40 in flat dark earth with the VTAC sights - oh yeah!
It seems to be new, but the slide has a few scratches. Also, I didn't get the case, manual etc - I got the gun, 2 grips, 2 mags etc. But, I did pay below retail and my father in law and friend who were with me said it was a good deal and I had to jump on it ASAP. Landed up buying it.
I downloaded the manual online, still trying to figure out what I need to do for the case. The vendor said he would be back in town in June and will bring it with him.
My friend gave me a case he had laying around and it seems to hold the stuff for now...
I also need to figure out what solvents,oil etc I need to purchase to clean and lubricate it. I will search the site, but if you have recommendations, let me know, please!
Anyways, I am excited to be a part of this forum and hope to learn a lot from everyone here. Thanks for having me!
