I love it!!! It mounts beautifully under my M&P. It does stick out about 3/4" beyond the barrel, and it is quite wide, about a solid 1.5". I suppose because it has two batteries side by side.

It says it puts out 160 lumens... It is pretty bright I think. Nice wide beam too. The strobe is nice, but I don't know if I could activate it in the heat of an exciting gun battle! You need to flick the light on then off and on again in less than 4/10 of a second to make it strobe.

The light clamps on the barrel nice and tight. With a quick thumb turn of the locking screw it loosens up and pops off easily enough. The clamping mechanism is spring loaded, so you loosen the screw and push in the spring loaded button to drop the light off. Nice system.

I don't think I'd use the light for concealed carry because it is big and heavy. This thing is built to last. I'll just pop it off to carry, and pop it on for nightstand use.

I got mine at Police Express for $84, shipping included! That seems really reasonable for a lifetime warranted Streamlight. :D

streamlight TLR-1

I purchased one from Midway for my Springfield XD. It attaches easily and removes the same way as described. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive and durable light with a lifetime warranty.
