Welcome to the forum. Thanks for the picture, we like pics.
Now some of the members here can look at that pic and tell exactly what gun it is and about when it was made and other details. Then there are others, like me, that are not that knowledgable. How about sharing some details? What model? What caliber? Has it been refinished or had other mods? Just curious and looking to learn..

Looks like a model 10,maybe a dash 5 or dash 7 with 6 inch tube..38 Special.

10-5 with a 6" SB.. Have had it for over a decade but until recently I have not done much competitive shooting with it. It has however been a trusted companion for a long time.

Yes it has been refinished... the original finish was lacking to say the least so I took it apart, bead blasted the exterior and then promptly hot blued it with a nice matte finish several years ago. I love the original smith bluing but I find that a matte finish is more conducive to practical applications or work.
