just went to buy a gen 3 glock 22 from the LGS..

.. walked out with a M&P 40.

i was lucky to have a range that had rentals and i am glad i shot both. after talking to the gunsmith (who had more glowing review of the MP than the g22) - i fired each. put half a box through each and the glock was all over the place - the M&P was much more nicely grouped.

I bought a Gen3 G22 last Feb and bought my M&P9 Pro in Oct last year. Now I want to sell my G22.lol

to be honest i was set more on the glock thanks to the glowing reviews of others - friends who are also LEO and have this as their carry weapon, as well as what you read online. i figured if they all compared to the glock - there has to be a good reason.

i dont know how much different the 9mm fires compared to the .40 cal - but i saw first hand the difference with me.

I've shot Glocks in the academy and with the dept I am a reserve for, as well as my own ( had a G23 for 10+years before my G22). I just like the M&P and 3rd gens more.

and for those interested - shot @ 10 yards with the first being the M&P the second was the glock. i also shot 1 hr before closing and was trying to get both in before they were closing up.
