Justifying Concealed Carry Reciprocity

I don't know about all this.....Laws vary from state to state.

And then there's the laws and rules for Federal lands and Tribal Lands
of all the Indian Nations through out the U.S. that are their own nations.

It's a purty tangled deal if you ask me.

Oh, rest assured there are people here who believe in mandatory training, licensing fee’s and such.
One has even suggested if shut in grandma has no money for either training or a license, well......oh, that’s too bad.
Remember all the past threads?

My feeling about mandatory training is that if a state wants to incorporate that into their licensing requirements then they should be able to do that. But it certainly doesn't help people who can't afford $100 for the license and then pay for an 8 hour class on top of that. In that regard it goes against the spirit of RKBA. That's what we are talking about here, the federal intervention of one's RKBA. In a perfect world we wouldn't have any regulation on concealed carry by an adult who wasn't prohibited. That's the spirit of RKBA.

And I apologize to anyone who found any of my previous posts on this subject offensive. I wasn't singling out any one group, just using a SC decision as an example.

I suppose it is me but you are not making sense to me. If The law passes I can go to NJ and carry my gun anywhere NJ law permits it’s CCW permit holders to carry their guns. Without the law I cannot take my gun into NJ without great risk.

The legislation does not give the federal government any control over issuing licenses. That control rests with the individual states. The legislation simply forces the all states to recognize my PA license to carry firearms. I do not see a downside to that.

If your concerns were well founded the NRA would not only not be supporting passage it would be opposing it.

First Sargent, I agree with your post.

Clearly 200 some odd years of jurisprudence do not agree with you. All one has to do is discuss the various restrictions and permits across the several states with regard to voting to crash your theories . . .

Well said, thank you.
