That is some kind of pretty! I had one just like it that I bought new in the early 70's. It was one of those stupid $#@&(!! split seconnd decisions that was made to trade it, when you really should have been keeping it. Enjoy!!!

It's my first .38 Special. Looking forward to shooting .38 Special out of a K frame.

You are late to the party! [emoji4] I've built most of my collection around this cartridge (and 357 mag). So versatile and fun to shoot. The target masterpiece is top of the food chain for me!

I am on the hunt for one with the 3 T's too.

That is gorgeous. I'll get my K38 tomorrow but it won't look near as nice as yours! Please update us with some targets. I hope it shoots as good as it looks!

Especially nice target stocks. The wear on the ejector rod says it has been shot quite a bit, but looks like it has been carefully cared for. I have a 14-3 that doesn't miss what it is pointed at. Yours too, probably.

Looks like a piece of fine furniture. Nice photos too!

That's a beautiful 14. They're my favorite model.

Is it just me or is the locking bolt for the end of the ejector rod protruding farther from its housing on the barrel than normal?

I'm not sure it seems to move and function normally.
Here's a picture with the vintage S&W holster it came with. Also these Pachmayr grips that will never be used:

Yes somebody definitely bought it to shoot, but they definitely took good care of it. It was nice to buy a gun of this age that came clean and well oiled. I've received a few grungy ones lately.
The guy I got it from only had it a few weeks so it was most likely an estate purchase.

You are right comparing it to a picture I found online. I wonder why that would be maybe needs a new spring? Mine looks to be pushing further forward. Doesn't look like something that would be easy to replace. Seems to work fine so I'll probably let it be. Good eye spotting that detail.

It's part of my OCD! lol

I did go double-check my 14-3 before posting. You might make sure the ejector rod is tight. It should be reverse threaded. If it's tight and the cylinder locks up tight I would shoot it and enjoy!
