K Frame Cylinder Gap

I have one 66 barely over 4 and another 10 thousandths, and the only difference I can tell is about 30fps consistently slower on the wider with normal loads. The barrel internal differences could also contribute, even though both are 4".

By the way, both guns came that way from the factory.

too close and any leading or fouling build-up may cause "drag"; too much and you may get splatter, ( blow by) seen them all over the map, from gun to gun......around .006" nominal, is fine......

What should the cylinder gap be for .357 K frame revolvers be?
When I went through S&W Armorer School way back in 1979 factory spec b/c gap for k-frames was .003-.009 with most averaging around .006. It has been my experience that gaps on recent models is a bit more up to about .010.
