I've had this gun for almost a year, and never really shot it before this week. The only reason I bought it is because it was marked under $300. I will purchase any excellent condition S&W for less than $300 on principle.
I built confidence with this gun extremely quickly, and would not think twice about carrying it. I guess that's a testament to the concept and engineering of the K frame snub.
A 3" 65 is my favorite shooter, and when I carry it (in a very nice enhanced pancake holster from Lobo) it wears the original Magnas and a BK grip adapter. I can't do a 100+ round IDPA match with those grips, though, and put on cushy Pachmayrs for competition. I also have found that the sights are easier to pick up when the front ramp is painted with red-orange nail polish and the rear notch is blackened with matte black model paint. It does as well (for me) in competition as a 4" Model 10.
