Well, I’ve been on the forum for a few years now, not many posts under my belt. I’ve always been a question asker, why step on the toes of folks who actually know something. I bought my first S&W revolver back in, well, when I first joined here. Always been a bit more of a .22 guy and ever since I bought that first 586, I’ve been on the lookout for a 17-6 (full lug). Finally picked one up a couple of weeks ago, expensive but at a fair price, and would really like to get stocks to match the 586 (picture attached).

Been looking on various forums, sites and fleabay. Quite a range in prices and varieties, even within the Target, K-frame group. I noticed some have large escutcheons, others just show the stud, some have the “football” cut and some just the “cut-out”. Any significance to these variations?
