K38 Target project gun

I have been working on my fantasy CM prototype and this is how it's looking now. Got the grips off the forum. Don't know who made them but they feel great. I picked up the humpback hammer at the last gunshow I went to. I'm really liking the way it's turning out.

I got the barrel from ebay. Looked like it had never been installed before on a frame. The gunsmith I got to swap it into this gun marred the finish doing so.

So you are qualified to answer a recent question - Is the humpback hammer a drop-in replacement? Or did it have to be modified or fitted?

It appears that in this case it's not going to be a drop in fit exactly. DA is fine but there is a push off problem in SA. I have some old extra internal parts in my junk drawers and I was hoping I could pull a "Delta 419" and come up with the right combo to make it work. But I'll most likely have to get someone to stone the hammer or something to get it to work.

Had the one in this thread made up 5-6 years back by Dave Chiccoine, has all the good stuff, classic look and functional.
