Seems many are replacing their Shields with the P365 and i will say the 365 interests me and i will look at 1 if i ever see 1!

Anybody here got 1 yet or planning on getting 1?

I got to handle one

The Sig P365 is a nice pistol. I would not part with my Shield though if I were to buy the P365. Sig has a reputation for releasing products prematurely (Mosquito, P250, P320) and working out the kinks later.

For size comparison, here is the Sig P365 with a Sig P320c and a Glock 43.

I just wonder if all the issues with the 1st batches like front sight falling off, not going in battery, slide not locking back and the barrel and frame peening is actually fixed?

I know its Striker fired but wonder if it can also be hammer fired like the P320 when hit or dropped?

Its looks nice from pictures but will have to hold 1 to see, have a Glock 27, Keltec PF9 and the Shield.

Currently the 365 is a "Unicorn" and on GB they go for $799. + CC fees and $30. shipping !

The online price was $499. which they should go back to when more are available!

The Bass Pro Shop flyer I got in last Wednesday’s mail listed them for sale.

Those were sold out in minutes! Was getting ready to check 1 out and saw they were sold out!

If i buy 1 i will wait to see if all issues were fixed, since on the P320 MHS guns they still cant fix them as of 2 weeks ago and are now wanting the Army to replace their sealed tamper resistant trigger group with the civilian trigger group!

I found 10 round mags for the Sig P365 at a gun shop yesterday for pennies under a $50.00 bill. No pistols though.

From ALL I have read and seen, I would wait a while.....

Why? Just to make sure the 365 has been corrected in all aspects of functionality and dependability...I figure this will take about 6 months once they are really in the pipe line....

6 months of ready availability will determine if all has been corrected with this new gun.........

Personally, I am going with the Shield 2.0 9mm with magguts +2 springs in all the mags....I will never part with my Shield 45 and just love the way it handles, and I have never had a problem with the 45 or my 9 1.0 prior to the 45.

I will leave the 365 for others....but even if I wanted one, I would wait for the results to be proven.

I got my Shield during the rebate period and have just a bit over $200 in it. The Sig 365 would cost at least $400 plus the Shield. The only real advantage is 3 more rounds and perhaps bragging rights for having the latest and greatest. A couple of extra mags and the Shield is in the comfort zone. I am happy with the Shield and have no desire to trade it.

To me what is important is smaller size & weight & lot more ammo, thus easier to carry & conceal, but till i feel 1 i really cant say, my PF9 is nice and works great weighs 12.9 oz but doesn't feel all that great or comfy shooting it!

A carry gun must be almost disposable unless you have the money to replace it. I don't see a point in moving from a Shield that works fine to something else that needs gun + more mags + holster as well.

I will save my money for something different.

I am number 700 on a waiting list to get mine, and that is just one gun store. I figure by the time my number comes around I should have one with all the latest fixes.

I probably won't get rid of my shield but I want a P365. As others have stated, I'm not looking to jump in right now. Mainly because of the issues. I'll wait until the fixes land in the models hitting dealers rather than having to send it back. Until then I love my Shield.

If the demand is that high for them I can't imagine the factory working slowly and carefully to fix everything first. They are more likely to make them as fast as they can and sell them then worry about warranty items later. I've shot a lot of Sigs and I like them better than most guns but not as well as others, so I have never owned one and don't feel like I'm missing much.

I am keeping my Shield, since I put in the Hyve trigger I have become very fond of it. But I have ordered a P365, and also bought a P365 blue gun, which has arrived and convinced me the P365 will become my EDC when it finally arrives. In NYS, where we have a 10 round limit, the P365 is a dream come come true: the capacity of the M&P9C in a thinner, more concealable size.

The P365 is alluring, is it not? I’m going to pass though as I am too invested in Shield magazines and holsters. I’m done chasing after a “better gun”.

I recently fondled the new 365 at my LGS, but Meh, I'll keep my Shields. When I first got my Shields a few years ago, I had a love / hate relationship with them, but quickly came to love and appreciate them. Not being a LEO, security or other armed professional, I find my Shields to meet all my requirements for concealed carry. Sometimes I "Think" I need something BIGGER to carry, but than I slap myself and come back to reality.
