He will have to meet his maker. Mary Jo has been waiting a long time for this. Hope the Good Lord lets her slap him silly before he goes to HELL.

I have heard that to those who actually knew him, he was likeable, even to those in the U.S. Senate who strongly disagreed with him. His family certainly held him in high regard. However, I never met or worked with him. I'm not in his family. I have long disagreed with his political views. His family has my sympathy in their time of grief.

haven't had a cognac in a long time. this sounds like a great reason to have one.

Yea, I bet both he and Bill Clinton would be great to get drunk and chase women with, but there really is more to life.

Good riddance to bad rubbish, as my kids used to say.

He did stand for what he believed in. Now while I disagreed with him on so many levels, I admire that he stood for his political beliefs. His personal life was very flawed without question but show me one that does not have some flaws.

I am sad that his life will be celebrated so by our liberal friends in the media, but I cannot change that.

I do wish they would concentrate on true heros that far deserve the attention more than the ones we see, but from their point of view they are celebrating their heros.

His longevity as a Senator makes one question the intelligence ( or lack thereof ) of the people of Massachusetts. Never could figure out people being so dumb to elect him again, and again, and again. He was an embarassment to his family, his colleagues in the Senate, and the Americn people.

Well said sir.

"As far as I'm concerned he does not belong in Arlington."

I understand that Arlington is rapidly running out of room.

Perhaps in an effort to save space, they can just screw Teddy into the dirt.

There are many more deserving folks who belong in Arlington's hallowed ground.

I disagreed with the man's politics, but it appears he truly represented his constituents' views on political issues, else he would have lost his seat many years ago.

Mass may just get more of the same when they vote to fill his empty seat.

There's lots of room at Arlington for old fat ted. When I toured there a couple of years ago there is a whole hillside that had but one grave on it. Yep, another Kennedy. So now there will be two graves on the hillside.

I heard that flags have been lowered to half staff at the White House, the Capitol, and bars all across Massachusetts and DC.

Well,
I had instructions to lower them on the three of my 4 buildings (one doesn't have a pole set) tonight. One of the three is a state entity tenant. I just hope to God it's for one of ours that bought it in the sand box? We're on the other coast from the Orca, so I see no reason to 1/2 staff for him here?

OK, Ted is dead.
I won't grieve for him.
Fact is, it won't matter much in the overall scheme of things.

I let you have a chance to vent. Most of the comments stayed pretty well within bounds, some did not, and got deleted or dinged.

How about we move on with life?
