During a Perry Mason rerun, a man followed his cheating wife to a cabin. Once she left, the man entered the cabin and shot another man who was inside. Once the shooter returned home, he laid his revolver by the telephone. The revolver was either a M34 or a pre M34, 4" blue round butt with diamond Magnas. It had a flat latch cylinder release. The date of the episode was from 1958.

It was Col Mustard, in the cabin, with the M34.

My first guess was Joan O'Brien. The two movies I know her best from is Operation Petticoat & Comancheros.

Still not sure....

Looked it up on IMDB, it is Joan O'brien, in the episode The Case of the Singing Skirt. It aired Mar 12, 1960.

An interesting photo, Perry Mason holding two 1911's, one of which looks to be in .22 caliber.

I don't know but those 1911s look like prop guns to me based on how much the barrels extend from the slide/bushing. One 45 and one 22, maybe a modified Service ACE. Joan O'Brien is a babe!

Ol' Perry is shown with Joanie O'Brian, a beautiful gal who had a great voice. She used to sing with the Bob Crosby band as a teenager on his TV show. When her TV and movie acting career ended she went on to sing with the Harry James band. This picture is from the movie "Operation Petticoat" when she starred with Cary Grant. She also had a role in John Wayne's "The Alamo" as Mrs. Dickinson.

I don't know if she is still alive - she would be 87 this year.

John

I've been streaming the series too on Amazon. I forgot how great that show is all around. The plots are good, there are a lot of gun topics in it, and the cars are great too. Interesting that Perry is always driving a convertible in the first season (1957-1958), switching between a Caddy and a Ford Sunliner (hardtop convertible).
