Ladder style rail covers....

Trying to find out about the MOE dark earth version (SKU#811035).....are they supposed to be coming with the ladder covers???
There was not any with my gun when I purchased it locally. The website image shows them on it.

I went back to the local store where I bought it and inquired....this was the "gun sales person"s response....

"I don't think those guns come with them"...to which my response was "why does the one hanging on the wall behind you have them on it?" I then asked if they put them on their guns at the store and their answer was the guns they have on the wall are "exactly as they take them out of the box".

I called back today and was told "all of the MOE versions we sell come with matching rail covers".......WTH???

I sent an email the S&W to see what they tell me.

Mine didn't come with them either. I called S&W and they sent them to me.

Ill have some extras(fde) when my gun comes in. I'm going with the rail covers so i wont use them.

So all the MOE's have the ladder style covers? Black to or just the FDE?

I just bought a FDE MOE and it came with a set of 3 in the box.

I believe only the FDE come with ladder covers. Hence the slightly elevated cost.

Just a quick follow up....
I emailed S&W.... they took my serial number and investigated and are sending me a set in the mail free of charge ;-)

IIRC the original FDE Moe's didn't have the ladder rails or the FDE mag, like the black models don't have now. I believe at some point S&W started including them at the same time they issued them with the FDE mag.

I just bought one from Bud's, since their website shows them with the rails, as well as S&W, I expect them to come with the rifle, we shall see.

When I went to look locally the gunshop had a few MOEs in FDE in stock but none were showed with the rail covers. I ordered a set of 3, and when I bought the rifle it came with a set of 3. I just sent the rail covers back for a AFG V2.
