Lady Rents a HK MP5 and Walks Out the Door With It.

I ALWAYS wear a billed cap when firing or being around fired semiautos, indoors or out. I once had a hot 9mm cartridge case drop down between my glasses and cheek. NOT a fun time!

That's fine when you are actually shooting, but when just in the store or wherever, not so much.

I will give fair warning to those planning to visit Europe. Wearing a cap that hides your face from the eyes in the sky in bars, airports, and other buildings with public access will get you unwelcome attention in fairly short order. The surveillance society has arrived there, and efforts to thwart it are not well received.

Well an update no gun found, and with our weak DA she is not going to turn over anyone. Set up to get my 617 on Thursday, praying nothing stops that.

Fixed it.
"The owner is wondering how he will rent out full autos after this. I wonder if that place will have an FFL next MONTH".

With the presidential order for ENHANCED scrutiny of all FFL violations, I bet they get a compliance visit within the next week to 10 days. I hope they have alternate employment plans.

Well, being the ATF has lost a lot more guns than they can count, they need to lose whatever permit gives them authority.

Since when has a credit card been a form of ID? In Vegas, you get walked into the range by a counter person carrying the weapon, and they are with you at all times. We don't do the small-town trusting thing too well here in the big city.;)

In Reno they keep your Drivers license & credit card behind the desk
until you check out and pay for your total bill.

Hellow !!

They did not check her against a drivers lic ? !!
They did not have in store cameras ?

Duh,

"Here's your sign".

That was a big oops. Guess they'll install a locked front door and buzz people in and out and cameras that actually take good photos. I've fired a mp5 and found that it ran so fast that I couldn't hit anything with it. A side note, the rate of fire is controlled by the ammo. Hotter ammo runs faster than milder ammo. She needs to steal a couple crates of ammo to go with it. I rented a Thompson at an indoor range in Maryland of all places. I wasn't impressed but 5 years later bought one [a semi AO]. Go figure. I did build a .45 mp5 lookalike though.

The BCSO is a pretty heads-up organization. The crime occurred in an unincorporated area of the County, so it is in their jurisdiction. I imagine the thief is being thoroughly interrogated by BCSO and BATFE in the County jailhouse about where the MP5 might have gone. It would be better if she were brought up on federal charges because the Bexar County DA is one of those George Soros beneficiaries who might charge her with some minor misdemeanor.

I have fired an H&K MP 5, a Hungarian copy and a 1928A1 Thompson with the Cutts Compensator. As long as I fired them in short bursts, I found them all to be controllable and I was able to hit my targets.

That is where the employee got in trouble, took cash instead of CC.
She used her dead sisters DL, and that is one of the ways they caught her.
Two cameras, her and her dead sister looked familiar

Our local stations are reporting gun has still not be found? Can you post a name of the news station

I almost universally pay cash. Only use CC for online and gasoline purchases. If they wouldn't take cash, I wouldn't have been shooting there myself. In case some have forgotten, some of the CC companies have been working with anti-2a groups and they sometimes track your spending and it can and will be used against you at some point.

I'm at a loss to figure out who was dumber here:

- the lady using her dead sister's ID, given that her relationship to the owner of the ID would make her an automatic and easy to identify and locate person of interest; or

- the owner of the shop, so lacking in imagination that he'd not only let people take the full auto weapon to the range area unaccompanied, but also do so when they have to exit the building to an uncontrolled and unsupervised area to get to the range.
