I don't want to open the internal lock can of worms here. But I'm disabling the one on my carry model 640 J-frame.

I'm still left with the big cosmetically offensive hole in the side. I know that most here will understand my wanting not to look at it. Truthfully it stands out like a sore thumb on the stainless steel of the 640.

I don't want to machine a post to fill in or any such thing. What would do me is to simply install a larger cylinder release latch of a style that covered the hole so I didn't have to look at it.

Anyone know of an oversized latch? Will a latch from another slightly larger model be a little larger? etc. etc.

Obviously I don't want anything that will hang up. It's for carry. This one will be in a belt holster IWB or in my shoulder holster though and not pocket carried - so a little oversized etc. would be OK - just so it looks good.
