Largest carry gun you routinely carry?

A 4" 686 or Glock 17 are the largest handguns I carry concealed....actually they're the largest I own ;)

Have to be dressed for cold weather to hide those comfortably....so they're getting carried a bit more often right now.

My first ccw gun was a colt Python 6" barrel. Then came the RedHawks I 44 mag shoulder holstered. Ccw these for many decades. I have a ruger SBH 44mag with a 10.5" barrel with a shoulder holster but haven't ccw it yet.

Once upon a time I carried 5" 1911 IWB on daily basis. I then moved to commander sized 1911's. These days you'll find me with a Glock 19 or 23 99% of the time. The other 1% is broken up between my 442 or my Glock 22.

In the City. H&K P 7, 115 miles away from the City on my 160 acres, either a Freedom Arms 454 or a Colt Single Action Army in 357. Both SAAs have 43/4 barrels and cross draw holsters.

Compact 1911 plus a mag pouch for going out of my usual area.

Around the house a 60-7 with a grip adapter. Various larger arms in reach.

In NM where I have 300 acres of all wood and streams an fishin holes, I was for a few years carrying a 4.75" Freedom Arms 454 casull SA sts, paired with a sts 45-70 lever. A few years later I picked up a matched pair of Ruger Alaskan 454's that have since replaced the freedom arms, accuracy at the distances needed was as good as the FA, plus both could chamber and shoot the biggest of the 45 colt rounds, but the real plus was that the Alaskan could use HKS speedloaders. I carreied 4 speed loaders on me, 3 blue to signify 45 colt, 1 red to signify 454, I also retired the 45-70 to range use, and began using a rossi 454 lever loaded with 454 and 2 speed strip of reloads.

As to personal EDC, I carry a Kimber Raptor, metaloyed and a Kimber Ultra Raptor.

I once saw a guy come into the gunshop in winter and he had a concealed desert eagle 50 on him.

629-5 Classic DX 6.5" barrel in a Bianchi X-15 shoulder holster while deer hunting or walking the hunting lease. I sometimes downsize to the 629-5, 4" and a Don Hume "loop" style holster on a Filson double belt.

EDC carry is a Colt 1911 Officer's model.

Summer carry is either a Mod. 37 or a Bauer .25.

What a wonderful problem to have, which handgun am I going to carry today!

I hate small, chopped down handguns so I carry a SIG 220 .45ACP or a CZ75 clone in .38 Super.

I know prolly not your favorite for full size carry...but I just Can't leave my S&W full size M&P 40 at home........

My EDC is a 49 no dash.

On occasion I add a gun or more to that. One time only, I added Two Sig 220's in a belly band: a Commander in a Galco Sm. Of The Back, and a LDA 3.25 in a DeSantis IWB all of these are 45 ACP and all had a spare mag! Good thing I was just sitting in Church!

On a more frequent basis, I often add a 1911 or my 1917 Brz. Con. to my EDC.

This Sunday being Christmas Eve, I'll wear my best suit, which is tailored for my Sig 229 in 357 Sig and the EDC, and for giggles I'll put the TomCat 3032 on my ankle.

I never drink on New Year's eve, so I'll come up with something festive I'm sure!

The largest gun I've routinely carried was a Ruger SR9c. Nice pistol, but I really didn't care for the weight. Now I carry a Shield 9.

MAY AS WELL DEFINE CARRY ALSO.

For CC in this heat/humidity/attire, NOT VERY BIG. Seecamp 32> 640> Sig p239 40 cal is about it. OC or hunting, go for it. I gotta say the Sig 226 in the good ol Bianchi thumb break holster rides pretty nice, in the cold with a coat???

Glock 21/4 when hunting in pig territory, 5% of the time. Glock 19/4 about 75% of the time.

S&W J frame the other 20%.

Mine is a Glock 19 that I carry when I'm wearing clothes that will conceal it, and I am expecting to be somewhere where the situation has a chance of demanding more than 5-7 rounds. Most often I carry a Shield 45 or 9, either of which I can conceal much easier. My BUG is an M&P380. It is always in my vehicle when I am and can easily be slipped into my pocket if needed.

Glock 23 9mm conversion in the Spring, summer, and fall and Glock 17 in the cold months.

But maybe I'll switch to my AK pistol I just bought. AIWB of course
