are there any after-market devices available for mounting a laser sight on a S&W 64-5 revolver for 25-50 yd shooting?
It's past life was as a LE carry weapon and the finish is rough.
I plan to clean it up to show better, but it has received a 'trigger-job' and was very accurate from a Ransom Rest at 25-75 yards.
Suggestions?

I'll third the Crimson Trace.
It's a no-brainer addition. Because everything is built into the grip, it doesn't require any modification to the gun, so you can keep it if you sell the revolver. They aren't "cheap" but they are well-made. The ones I've seen start around $120 on up.

I have had a CT grip on a 3" M65 for many years. Love it. The batteries last a long time, and it has stayed sighted in the entire time. I can shoot a lot tighter groups at 25 yards with the laser than with the iron sights.

Hogue also makes Laser Enhanced grips.

I really like the shape of the ones I keep on the 2 1/2" Model 19. It is even offered in four colors . . . Black, OD Green, Pink and Purple

The Hogue grips can be set for Constant Beam, Flashing Beam, or Stealth

Stealth flashes three times then goes dark
