Late night Horror Movie Hosts

That's pretty cool. And it's mostly makeup, right...not an off-the-rack mask? Looks like it might have taken some time to get it the way you wanted.
Yup, I sculpted it on a cast of my face, made a negative with ultracal 30 plaster and slush molded a thin latex appliance.
I did all the applying, edge blending and coloring.
I made the teeth before I learned how to use dental acrylic. They're dental plate wax and ivory inlay wax.
They worked well enough but the acrylic teeth are a lot lighter and easier to talk with.
I made a head piece and body out of fake fur and hand laid matching crepe hair to hide the edges.

I know we got a picture and I asked my wife if she knew where she hid it.
It's not the clearest but here it is, from 27 years ago:

27 years!?!? Snubby, you haven't aged a bit!!! You still look the same after all these years!!! (Just kidding, that is some great makeup work!)

Not trying to split hairs but Chilly Billy Cardille(y) was on Saturday nights. He just passed away a month or so ago.

Never heard of hat one? musta been pre 70s?
Here's the Doctor and his cohort, LuRella, scheming to scare the wits out of us:

You're right.... It has been a couple! of years ago. When I first saw the original post, I thought it was Saturday, but couldn't remember for sure. I was unaware that he had passed away. He was a character, and I loved the movies.

Best Regards, Les

While most of you have a couple of years on me, I've seen Svengoolie recently on the MeTV, or one of the other old time TV channels. He's not the funniest guy, but I enjoy the rubber chicken shtick. The amount of background of the movies and actors / characters he gives on all the old time black and white horror films is excellent. I usually end up watching whatever movie it is, when I come across it.

Growing up just east of Akron, Ohio I also saw many of the "Ghoulardi" shows.
I've included a photo a sweat shirt that had been passed down from one of the family friends years ago.
Not sure why it's still hanging around?

I wonder if this "Chilly Billy" is the same "Chilli Bill" or "Chill Bill?" I forget its been about 5 years sinse I was last active on the site) on the John Wayne Message Board site?? This guy got that nickname from Duke himself as he was the only one allowed to make chili for him-and also flew him around in his personal plane. I THINK this guy passed away within the last several years??

I miss Elvira...

Elvira, played by Cassandra Peterson, is still acting at age 65. I saw her last night on an episode of Halloween Baking Championship. Even at her age she still gets a rise out of my wooden stake.

A seller on ebay has a picture purported to be Elvira without her costume. Literally without her costume. All I can say is, oh my! I won't post the link but just go to ebay as search on Elvira. Be sure to scroll your cursor over the picture to enlarge it. My, oh my!

In the early 60's, in the Detroit area, it was Morgus the Magnificent at 11:30pm followed by Mr. X on Shock Theatre at 1am Friday night/Saturday early morning. In the 70's it was The Ghoul, out of Cleveland, and Sir Graves Ghastly. These days, since MST3K went away, It's Svengoolie on MeTV, 10pm Saturday.
