If Pre War Models Count!

Here is one of the earliest known K22's and according to the S&WCA survivor files, it is the 4th earliest one "known" and easily in 99% condition. It has the gold Call bead front sight. According to Roy Jinks, the earliest production of K22's had the gold Call bead, however that was changed to a stainless steel Call bead front sight after September 16th 1931. The letter states this gun shipped April 3rd, 1931.

Although I do not consider myself to be much of a passionate K22 collector, I am lucky & certainly happy to be the owner of this fine gun that is over 74 years old.

Ok, I am in the market for a Kit Gun. I bought this when I was in college and filled my crock pot with a lot of squirrel and rabbit in Mankato Minnesota with this non-S&W. It is a 1980 H&R 999

OK, Gametime, you might have the most interesting and rare K22 so far. Can I ask what the serial number range is? The HBH seems to have appeared primarily in the 673,000-674,000s serial range.

A 1953 , 5 screw, s/n 205xxx, with gold box and sight adjustment tool. Merry Christmas All! Greg

Hey Dick, the s/n is 6710XX and it letters with the HBH. Also, the box's white label reads '6710XX hbh'... do you know if other K22/HBH boxes are labeled this way?
Thanks!
Manuel

22 revolvers are just too much fun! Everybody should have at least one, but more is better.

Compared to some of the photos on this thread, mine are very lame. My photography skills are a work in progress. Here's my 617 no dash, 17-4 and 18-2.
