This is my girl AVA as a pup and now 22 months old (or should I says the wifes) very kind loving dog. She lets us live in "her" house if you know what I mean

A friend says to me a couple years ago you need a dog and he said "get an English lab" they are beautiful. So I get her and he said I have a question for ya - what does a lab need after a 2 mile walk - 2 more miles lol.

Jejb , my hats off to you , you're doing a wonderful thing . I could never do it , I wouldn't give them back . Don't know how much longer this is going to keep going , but it's been great having everyone share their dogs . Wonder if we'd get this far if it was about cats ?

This is Angus and Beans. I had Angus put down 2 years ago at age 17. She was a wonderful dog as is Beans who is now 9 years old.

I'm sorry you lost Angus, but I hope you always remember what a wonderfully long life full of fun and love your dog had with you. I'm sure the days he (she?) was with you were a blessing, as are the days with Beans. I would be so thankful if my dogs lived to such an age, but I have resigned myself to the fact that they won't.

Your dogs are beautiful. Thanks for showing us their photograph.

Got a problem and maybe someone out there in dogie land can help . My one Aussie I got when she was a pup , her sister I got back in November . I was going to get a pup from her new litter but fell in love with Nebula . Now , she's been trained as a therapy do , akc good citizen titles , you name it . When we walked her with our other two and run into other dogs she starts barking and jumping around . So we took to Sharon walking the two and I walk Nebbie . Most dogs she's ok with ll still act up . So I take her off the path , make her sit and talk to her . She's better without her sister , but still not where I want her to be . I have to say , she is really attached to me . Her owner was actually hurt that she would rather go to me than her . I don't know if that has anything to do with it , who knows what goes on in a dogs head ? Any ideas would be appreciated .

What goes on in a dog's head? Beats hell out of me. There's so much going on that we'll never understand it all. I take it Nebbie isn't dog-agressive? Some dogs, if they aren't around other dogs a lot simply get excited at seeing other dogs. They want to meet, investigate (sniff), and play. Dogs are pack animals...I know you know this. Several dogs together feed off each other's energy.

Removing her from the path and talking to her isn't a bad idea. An alternate idea might be to slowly walk her to the other dog(s) and let them get acquainted. She'll probably pull and tug on the leash in her eagerness to get to them. The potential problem with that is that strange dogs might mistake that for agression. Dogs are constantly sending out signals that we're totally unaware of or are at a loss to understand. It's a constant guessing game. I've worked and lived with Rottweilers for over thirty years now. It didn't take long for me to figure out that although dogs might be the same breed or the same sex, no two are ever alike, no two will act the same way or react to different stimuli the same way.

Don't know if this is any help to you, but hope some of this makes sense to you.

Being that jewelry is a big part of my business it is only appropriate that Shadow has her jewelry too.

She has been wearing this for over a month and has never attempted to remove it.

What a pretty girl! I see that grey on her muzzle...how old is she now?

New weiner dog in the neighborhood, Pete, 8 weeks old and named after Boilermaker Pete, the Purdue mascot.

The older weiner dog is Reese age 3. She and Spiffy are best buds. Since our fence is in the front yard our house is the dog
walker hangout and this is the dog walkingest block in the neighborhood. :)

Good for you! Sounds great. Next time you get a chance, get some close up shots of Pete and Reese.

I really do not know what to make of our Petra sometimes. She likes to pile up their bedding and usually hides behind the pile. I guess "The light, it hurts my eyes." Yesterday morning when I walked back into the room before work she was doing something a bit different.

Your dog photos make me smile. She is a pretty dog. What breed is she?

Great looking dog! Maverick looks to be purebred. I see a dog toy up on the right and shoes over on the left. Which is the Toy of Choice?

Everything is a toy to him. We are working on his training and I have to say he is very smart and training is going very good. He will be 2 years old this July. It's hard to keep up with him, so much energy.

Our new puppy Rolls Royce.
11 weeks old Havanese- Shih Tsu mix.
The breeder had the Shih Tsu bitch and his brother the Havanese. 2 very nice dogs.
He is energetic and smart. We had 2 Shih Tsus years back. Mini Cooper and Bentley. Then we lived in England for 3 years so he just had to have s British car name! We just call him Royce.

What a good looking puppy. And he looks so intelligent already. He looks like he will be a lot of fun in a small package. I'll bet that dog's gonna end up being smarter than a lot of people you know. I hope all of you have a great life together.
