Here is Josie, our rescue dog. She is about 2 years old and had a rough life before we got her. She's a sweet dog but has problems we are working out. She is super shy and a challange to train. She is pottie trained but otherwise grabs her treats and runs away with them. I think she was in an environment where she was low dog and may have had a bit of abuse. All that aside she is a pleasure to have around.:D

What a pretty girl. My dogs used to take their treats and move away from me, especially Beau. I believe he wanted me to play chase-me with him. When I didn't fall for it, he soon just stayed close by to eat his Milk Bone.

My final dog, the late, great Moose, had been abandoned and left alone for two weeks before I rescued him. I would put down food for him; but if I left to go somewhere, he would wait till I returned home to eat.

He seemed to think he'd better save the food in case I didn't return.

It nearly broke my heart, but I understood it.

My grandson and his dog Sadie.... My other grandson,,,yes they are twins, with Freyja

It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of
my heart with them, and every new dog who comes into my life
gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough all the
components of my heart will be dog, and I will try to become
as generous, and loving as they are.

Watchdog,,,,
Outstanding! Can't hit the "Like" button enough for this.

These are the kind of photographs that will be treasured fifty and sixty years from now.

That is a beautiful sentiment. Thank you.

Every time I think this is going away , somebody posts again . REM 2000 , I could't have said it any better . Every time I lose one , it seems like a little piece of me goes away too . I am not one of those that say " I'm not ready yet." I have one in a very short period . I have a wife and daughter that mean the world to me , but there's something about a dog to share your life with , and nothing else fills that void for me .
