Our Nellie. Sadly we had to put her down a few months ago. I still wander around the house wondering where she is sleeping. We got her as a pup over 16 years ago. RIP Nellie, I miss you a lot.

Nellie is beautiful. Looks like she was enjoying laying on the deck, soaking up the sun. I'll bet she was a joy to live with, too, wasn't she? Thanks for posting her photograph. Sincerest condolences on the loss of your Best Friend. My belief is that you will see her again.

Barney soaking up some sun. He will be 15 years of age tomorrow. Sept 30, 2004 is his birthday and we've had him since about 8 weeks. He's a once in a lifetime dog. :)

We're pet sitting a neighbors pair of dachshunds this w-end and Barney is alpha around all these young whippersnappers.

rfo1: there are no replacements, but a successor awaits you at a rescue. It is time, and the dog needs you as much as you need the dog. There will be successors as long as I am physically able.

Forgot to update for Ziva's 9th birthday-since she's a rescue we made Sept. 1 her day since she was roughly 1 when I adopted her on that date 8 years ago.

Ziva is looking good! Wishing you two many more years together!

Ok guys , since you won't let this die , I'll share a couple of pics . These are my 2 Aussies half brother and sister ? Same mother , different father . I thought mine were smart , these two surpass mine . They both are shown , and have won numerous titles . They also dock dive and barn hunt (rats) . The hunt is controlled , they don't just chase rats around a barn . The black tri is mine .

This dog is the most unruly animal I have come across when it comes to jumping on me.....not a mean bone in his body but just over exuberant....however with his mistress he is the calmest and most serene dog I have seen. He truly is a nanny dog to my granddaughter....he will not leave her side. He is good around her school friends and does play with and lick them but only as a means to saying hi and acknowledging them....he is the most attentive dog to my grand baby.
