Some S&Ws, like this '04 'Stocking Dealer Exclusive', a 5" h-l 686+, came equipped nicely - with square conversion & fg cocobolo Ahrends grips, as well as a HiViz and V-notch sight:

The square conversion non-fg cocobolo Ahrends on the 696 feel totally different from the Retro Targets.
