Ahrends 'Retro Targets' on '08 vintage revolvers:

Some S&Ws, like this '04 'Stocking Dealer Exclusive', a 5" h-l 686+, came equipped nicely - with square conversion & fg cocobolo Ahrends grips, as well as a HiViz and V-notch sight:

The square conversion non-fg cocobolo Ahrends on the 696 feel totally different from the Retro Targets.

Just your average Post1950 Outdoorsman.... Wow.
The level of quality of the photos around here has really risen to fantastic heights (and the subject matter isn't all that shabby either)...
Fantastic Jerry, truly fantastic. How about some information on that piece when you get a chance.

You guys have really made this thread great. All the stocks and your guns look great.I can't come up with enough compliments for the beauties posted here.

Hard to look through this thread without developing a true lust. The following are my humble submissions:

1) Colt 1911 GCT/Birdweye Maple
2) S&W 586/S&W Finger Groove Combats
3) Colt XSE/Micarta

These grips are made from a tree that only grows on some tiny island, I can't remember where, and are valued at around $1000. But then again I guess a gun that had a production run of only 10 and a selling price of $10,000 should have $1000 grips.
