Let's see those Highway Patrolmen

Here are mine (along with a nickel 27-2). The gun wearing stags is a 28 no dash. The others are -2's. They all have great triggers, but the 6" 28-2 has the best of any of my revolvers.

This is my 1968 S prefix 28-2 4". It is a great gun with some honest wear.

I only have one Model 28, my 6" 28-2 shipped December 7, 1978.
My brother BUFF gave it to me back on August 12, 2014.

It came to me wearing these Pachmyar Grips that he put on
back when I used to borrow it to take rabbit hunting.

It now rests on my night stand wearing Target Grips and residing in the
holster that it has spent its entire life in.

I've put more rounds thru it than any of my other guns, all .357 Magnums.

Its one of my favorites. Come to think of it, every single one of my guns is my favorite. ;)

One of my favorite S&W models. I just adopted another 28-2 with 6" bbl. This one is in 98% plus condition. Just strolling through the gun show in Fayetteville, NC and there it was. Few and far between of these found at shows near me in this condition or at all for that matter.

Looks like 100% condition from here.

Just picked this one up yesterday, 1964/65 28-2. Haven't shot it yet, but good trigger and build quality. Doesn't show well in the photo, but nice wood on it unlike some of the later 28s. Is it just me or do others prefer the duller blue on these to the shiny ones?

$760 on Gunbroker, not a bad price for these crazy times.

I'm not really a revolver guy, but picked up a nickeled '64-vintage 28-2 on GB the other day.

The grips had some scarring and the finish was dull and cloudy...and there was also a set of pimp-tasctic pearl grips in the case with it. I wasn't looking for a collector, just a shooter.

Spent a couple of hours on it with some Mother's polish and ordered a couple of sets of Altamont grips to see what I liked.
