This is a rare turn, some congress critters I can actually applaud:

Looks like we have a short list of "good guys." This letter, dated 1/23/13, takes issue with the use of EO's and speaks up for our side with a reminder about the oath of office they have all sworn, including the Pres.

I only wish there was a name from my state, but then again, I wasn't surprised that my reps wouldn't have been willing to make such a strong statement. However, I think that I'll write my representatives to praise the signers of the letter, and ask them why their signatures aren't on it. ;)

I suggest that we all let them know how we stand, and do it OFTEN!

Please explain to me why you can't or won't support the rights of firearms
owners as the signers of this letter have done. Don't my representatives
have the courage and the clarity of vision that is displayed by the fine
men and women who put their names on the following letter to President
Obama?

I would like to hear your response to the issues raised by your fellow
members of Congress, who, from what I see, are doing a commendable job of
representing their constituents, and abiding by the Oath of Office that
you all have sworn.

I look forward to your reply.

Sincerely,

2hawk

Just called Benishek's office (he's my rep.) to express my gratitude. I want to be as committed to giving ample affirmation for good moves as I am in protesting bad ones. When the President's propaganda team starts churning out their disinformation, these are the dudes who are gonna be taking heat. I want to offer political "nomex". :)

Just spoke with a young lady in Congressman Jones's office (NC) and expressed a big thank you for listening to his constituents.

I'm saddened that not a single representative from my home state of Wisconsin is on there, not even Paul Ryan who espouses to being a big sportsman. However, I'm not surprised my representative is not on there. He's a member of the no guns party.

Oh well, 2014 draws near...

I am pleased to see that Representative Michele Bachmann from Minnesota signed the letter.

Thanks to our Colorado Republican Representatives Cory Gardner and Doug Lamborn that signed.
None of the Democrat House names are there though.

I too have thanked my congressmen from Arizona. Keep sending the letters folks DON'T let up now!
