Or in this case, a box of .30cal M 6 rifle grenade cartridges.

When my grandparents moved to their new place, my grandfather gave me some of his old firearm things, such as wooden cases and ammo cans. I had completely forgotten about the wooden cases until earlier, so in the process of relocating them upstairs, I noticed something rattling in one of them. Decided to open it up to see what it was, and to my surprise I found a small brown package sitting in the bottom of the box. Knowing my grandfather, I had a feeling it would be something interesting, and sure enough it was.

As you can see in the pictures, the condition of the box isn't the best quality, so I'm not sure on how much something like that would be worth anymore. I doubt I'll ever sell it, since it does have some sentimental value since it came from my grandfather(knowingly or not), and it would be a nice little addition to my not-yet-started WW2 era collection.

I did try to research some more info on them, but my Google-fu isn't what it used to be. If anyone knows anything more about them, I'd be more than happy to listen.:p

So..... do you have any of the actual cartridges????? If so I would like to see them. Probably be a lot more interesting than the box.

These are for the M1 Carbine, looks like a six pack I would guess they are worth about $20 or so. I know where you can buy a box of 50 for $100.

It's an unopened box of them, and it's staying that way.:p

From what I found with a quick search, they look fairly similar to blanks. I'd open it up to take a picture or two, but like I said in the first post, I'd rather keep it as-is since it was something from my grandfather.
