Lil Gun , Not in my guns

Obviously a better shot bwahahaha there is no evidence of that! I dabble in rifles except that once each year I do a trip to hunt prairie dogs. Three full, long days of action if the weather cooperates. I can make that rig sing but I give a lot of credit to the 50 grain V-Max pills that seem to always come through. Whacking a few as close as 75 yards, most are 150-250 and a smattering of 400+ yard success stories.

More challenging and just as fun is getting them with a handgun. Those are 20 to 30 yards and it takes even more luck than skill to get one.

If you shot a 3 shot group of that size with a small, lite, single shot with a two piece stock and stock trigger would you not stop and save it? 😁😎
No, it won't shoot a 10 shot group that small. But it is a consistent accurate rifle with that load. Not many factory rifles will shoot quarter inch groups. Do you have one?

Yep! An Odd Ball Savage '06 with a 20" Bull barrel and Muzzle brake ; Factory trim. Will shoot 125gr Sierra's into 1/4 in. with 50 gr IMR4064. Way off topic of Lil'Gun; but had to interject that.

I bought a bunch to use in 30 Carbine but someone suggested I would be happier with H110/W296 which I already use for other rounds anyway.

I think you will like using H110 in the 30 Carbine considering H110 was developed specifically for use in the 30 Carbine lol.

Bought a lb after seeing it used for high velocity 32 mag loads. Very accurate, performed as advertised and got noticable throat erosion after 12 rounds.

It did give the best accuracy and velocity in a 357 mag carbine with the apparently discontinued Speer 170 gr gdsp and Rem 180 gr sjhp.

22 Hornet gets it's best velocities and in my rifle the best accuracy. 44 41 mags the best vels at lower pressure with heavy bullets. Used it for my bear loads in my M-57. but lowered the velocity as I didn't need to shoot through 2 bears with one round. Use 4227 now. And I used it(LG) in the 410 skeet loads as I could get an honest 1/2 ounce of shot in 410 AAs. Never had an problem with it... I never shot fast with any revolvers so no real worries on overheating/erosion or other dreaded problems. In fact loading L'il Gun to its recommendations(heavier bullets/faster velocities) is usually not when you blast through a cylinder full. It's good powder for certain niches...but it isn't like many other middle speed powders
