Be careful what you wish for. Remember they are a nuclear power and have one of the largest standing armies in the world. With Un dead, there would be a tremendous power vacuum and it could lead to a very hazardous struggle for control.
If, as said in the Chinese paper, he died of an improperly placed stent because the surgeons hands were shaking that surgeon will be executed by being fed to hungry dogs... like Un's uncle who had the nerve of displeasing him. rough crowd.

Kim's little sister must be pretty tough and wily to have survived this long. If she takes over, the President may have to do something pretty radical to deal with her. My humble suggestion is to appoint a Korean-American as Secretary of State that even Li'l Rocket Woman will respect and fear: Awkwafina.

While it is true that they would be unlikely to leave their peninsula, they can & have posed a serious threat to the South. They almost pushed us into the sea in 1950 and we really aren't in much better shape there now than in 1950 and when you throw nuclear weapons and an unstable government into the mix, anything can happen.
As for fighting on empty stomachs, seems we thought the same thing about the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese.
As for being willing to defect, having read reports of interviews with North Korean subjects, they have been completely indoctrinated in the belief that the rest of the world is evil and will do unthinkable things to anyone from the North. Very few citizens have any concept of how miserable they really have it, because they have never known anything else.

So they storm the DMZ. NK has a tiny AF, compared to the US and SK. I'm sure we could turn the DMZ into the worlds longest landing strip in 10 minutes, turning the largest ground based army into nothing.

The North Koreans used to have tunnels extending at least partway under the DMZ. Don't know if they are still a thing.

Right now there are hundreds of rumors (from being assassinated to getting the Corona Virus) - so who knows how this will play out. As far as I am concerned - with KJU the end justifies the means! Don't think his sister could possibly be any worse than him!
