Lipstick on a pig thread

Colt Official Police revolver with Micro sights added, I bought it for the Roper grips. It actually shoots very well so I left the grips on it and take it to the range regularly.

I made some "lipstick" years ago for this well seasoned Ballester-Molina.

DGNY, yes I have some in the safe that are pig "might-have-beens". Last year I found a 1923 .44HE, nickled, and the finish was a mess. I bought it anyway, hoping for the best. Turned out a tiny bit of polish, elbow grease, Ren wax, and some grips that were not rotting off the gun, and it became this. Not even a swan, but maybe an eagle.
