LnL Press Users; I have on occasion ran out of primers, there being no easy way to check. Lately I have been using a small wood dowel marked so I could see the approximate level of primers. This is not entirely satisfactory, the dowel sticks and I have enough to do without looking at the dowel every cycle. What I needed was an audible warning.
I noticed that Dillion has a low primer warning for $21.95 seemed a nice small package, much better than anything I could breadboard, so I ordered one.
Turns out to work great, fits the LnL system, requires only shortening the plastic rod that follows the primers down to the correct length in my case about about ½’ result is a warning which I set for 5-6 primers left.

I've done the same with my LNL. Only thing now is that I find the 'blue' of the Dillon primer warning system a bit annoying - so I'm thinking of painting it Hornady Red !

The RCBS low primer warning also works. So if the blue offends, you, how about green?

The newer model LNL APs come with a fiberglas rod that locks the whole system when the primers run out. It's the same principle as the dowel, but it has a small enough diameter that it drops down just like a primer, but obviously it won't feed and that locks everything. ;)
