Local indoor range has changed for the better

I went to renew my membership today and found that they now have a rifle range for up to 300BLK. That's totally new. It's only about 24 yards, but hey. They also let you shoot your own ammo as long as it doesn't stick to a magnet. I didn't ask about reloads, but they still have a sign saying it's a lost brass range.

I've been favoring the outdoor private range since you have a lot more freedom there and the rifle range goes out to 200 yards, but I'll be spending more time at this one, now that Florida summer weather is here.

Funny thing, the guy said rifles had to have a sighting system. I started to overthink what that meant, and decided I'd better ask. "It has to have at least iron sights." Apparently some heathens out there buy flat top AR15s and just wail away without even irons.

I signed up for a year at the Bunnell Range a couple weeks ago. It's outdoors, and yesterday I had the entire place to myself.

It was around 87 degrees, but the pistol caliber section is under cover with large fans behind you. Wasn't bad.

If your 300BO AR had a brasscatcher on it would they kick you out?

As for no sights on a flat top AR, why am I not surprised in this day and age?

If the AR shooters at the local outdoor range are any indication sights are completely unnecessary. The whole point seems to who can make a mag dump fastest.
