Spoken for! Thanks S&W forum!
Thinking of possibly trading my 64-5 NY-1 and 49 for an L frame .357. 686/681, 586/581, or a STEEL j magnum. Mostly interested in 60/649. Possibly a shooter 357 N frame?? Snubs, 3", 4", but nothing longer please. Pre lock is preferred, but will consider others. I'm looking for an even trade. Do not want to go up in price at least.
Details: The ny-1 is a sweet gun. Timing on, tight lock up, great shooter! Some scratches and handling marks. Looks like it was carried a lot but shot little. I installed a da/sa hammer and manga grips. The grips have no checkering on them and aren't a perfect fit, but I like em. I will also include (or install), the original DAO factory hammer and pach grips that came on the gun. Quoted as a 1988 gun, but not lettered. Clean bore. I'm going to value it to about $350+ range. Here's a completed gb auction where one went for $375 and it doesn't include the extra fitted hammer and looks a lot more scratched than mine. Smith and Wesson 64 NY-1 .38 spl 4" 6shot DAO : Revolvers at GunBroker.com
49 was sent back to s&w to have the BC gap tightened. They also replaced the hand and re timed it and installed a new extractor rod. Full health check up while it was there and it runs like a champ! I have the receipt for proof that it was there and can include it or send pics. This is a floating j gun so 71-72. Has spotting in the finish but doesn't look like rust. It practically disappears on the left side with a different angle and lighting. Perfect ultra reliable carry gun. Clean bore, stocks numbered to gun. I asked for a value on here and came up with a $350 average.
Can take plenty more pics of any areas etc. Will email or text them to whoever is interested. Mostly looking for a trade right now. Who knows though, might change my mind in the future, especially if local. Pm, email Labukas.james@yahoo DOT com (.com).Thanks for looking!
