They had a bunch of models at the Star Trek Experience we used to have here. I seriously miss that place, for kids of all ages.

This is also from the article:
It resurfaced last fall when an unnamed person discovered it and brought it to Heritage for authentication. The auction house then contacted Rod Roddenberry to coordinate its return.
I wonder if the "unnamed person" who took it to the auction house was compensated. Gene Sr. has been dead for over 30 and there's no proof it was stolen. The original series wasn't that successful and only lasted 3 seasons.

I've got Scottys putter and there's no way I'm showing it to Heritage. I bought it fair and square at a garage sale. I'd be afraid they would take my putter and I'd be left with the shaft! ;)

From the article in the NYT:

The [eBay] seller of the model was bombarded with inquiries and quickly took the listing down... [and] contacted Heritage Auctions to authenticate it...

...Mr. Roddenberry... said he gave the seller a "reward" for its recovery but did not disclose the terms...

For travelers interested in StarTrek!

In the beautiful Adirondack mountains of Northern NY in Ticonderoga, New York they have a exhibit/ Star Trek Tour at 112 Montcalm Street .

If you go to Lake George/Lake Champlain area check it out.

Note I have never went, not realy that interested, but I hear its quite nice!

My favorite Orion slave girl has passed already. No other will ever strike me the same way.

Star Trek is my all time favorite show. I like all of them very much except Discovery which is woke ****.

Marta from "Whom Gods Destroy" was and is hot. TOS had a lot of great guest actresses that were very easy on the eyes. But Dr. Beverly Crusher and Lt. Tasha Yar of TNG were the women of my dreams in my youth.
