Tuesday night, my wife of almost 47 years, had a stroke. She was supposed to get a nerve block Thursday, so the doctor wanted her off of the blood thinner she takes because of afib.
She is in fair spirits most of the time and was moved to a regular hospital room this afternoon. Some time next week she will be moved to an in-patient rehab for three (?) weeks of intensive rehab and hopefully come home.
While she need prayer most to regain function of her left arm and leg, please don't forget me. While she is in rehab, I will find out how drastically I need to remodel the house to facilitate her needs. Right now as I sit here, I am physically and mentally on the ragged edge but gaining hope and finding I can withstand the long days and nights of no sleep to encourage the lady I love.
Thanks in advance,
Larry

That's really tough sir. Ya'll will be in prayers tonight. Take care of yourself so that you will be able to take care of her. I wish you and her all the best. Keep the faith.
God bless you,
gordon

Very sorry to hear of this. Hate to see a forum member having to deal with a serious illness of a loved one. I feel life is too short as it is without added difficulties of health issues. Will keep the both of you in my thoughts and hope for the best. good luck to the both of you.

Prayers sent Larry. Rehabilitation can do wonders. Often, most function can be restored. I really hope this is the case for your wife.

Larry my heart goes out to you. My wife and I just took time to pray for you and your wonderful wife. God says He will never leave us or forsake us. My He comfort you and lift this burden from your shoulders. May God show Himself to you and your wife in greater way than ever. Trust in Him, he knew this was coming when he created all things. Nothing surprises God. He will always get us through it. Jesus loves you and your wife personally, always remember that. He knows you both intimately and better than any other person. Be encouraged, Larry, He is right there beside you. Blessings.

Know that our prayers have already been asked of Him, Who is above........for both your lady's return to full health & for you to have the strength, the patience, the understanding & love to get through this ordeal with your lady.

We also asked that He guide the hands & eyes of those taking care of her medically.....All was asked of Him, in the Name of His Son, according to His Well.

Oldiron,

You have prayers from Texas for your wife's healing and for your strength.
