Last we heard on the Forum here, People were generally agreeing that 'Longmire' was getting a little shaky. It's been requiring that people do stupid things that are really out of character. We are about halfway through Season 5, and the trend continues, but I don't think that the show has jumped the shark yet. Walt just confronted the guy from the 'Irish Mafia' to stay out of his county. In spite of the shaky plot I'm ready to watch some more.. What are everybody's opinions? Keep watching? Ditch it before it does an ugly shark jump? Is another season in the works?

One more season. They are on a short leash at our house after last year. Very disappointing in how they changed his character. But it still beats just about anything on network TV.

My wife and I got hooked on Longmire at the end of November and watched all 5 seasons in about 2 weeks. Season 5 was definitely not my favorite. I can't wait for season 6 to see if they reconcile Walt and Henry.

Next season will decide it. The only thing I don't like about Netflix is waiting for the new season, then binge watching it in one afternoon. Also, I didn't need to see Vic sitting on the commode, doing the pregnancy test. Close the door! We all knew what she was doing, we didn't need a ringside seat.

I'm glad to hear that there will be a season 6. I thought 5 was supposed to be the last but there were alot of loose ends left open. Can't wait!

Dang. In a lot of my favorite shows...the women get pregnant. Bones, Grimm, The Blacklist, White Collar, Stargate Atlantis, Friends, Hart of Dixie, Eureka, and now Longmire. Usually signals the beginning of the end.

I was a little disappointed with this last season but was glad to see that Henry got his bar back! ;)
Supposedly Season 6 will be the last with everything I read?
I picked up Netflix just to watch this show but now I started to watch The Crown which seems to be very well done and well acted!
John Lithgow which I'm not a big fan of plays a very good Winston Churchill!
With their first season done I am looking forward to season 2
But I really wish they'd keep going with Longmire!

A while back, I did binge watch.
Some of the plots were unexpected, at least to me.
But I guess they wanted to vary from the already established directions.
And they go in some new directions!
It's filmed here in NM and it's still one of my favorite shows.
Looking forward to one more season!

I tried watching Longmire but didn't get through the first season. It seemed like they were trying to inject technical gun knowledge into it but were using old comic books for sources.

I know its tv, and most people aren't gun people. But I just couldn't get into it.

I haven't seen it since the second season.

Vic's pregnant? Walt the daddy?

In the books the two of them get together, and at the end of the last book she gets shot in the belly. Doctor tells Walt she'll be fine but they couldn't save the baby. I don't think either knew she was pregnant at the time.

Need to go reread the books. Been several years.

This past season was very disappointing! I can only assume there are new writers, and they suck, as a director has nothing to do about the story line. Let's get back to some western style murders or bank robberies, etc.

This Mafia type thing is total bull!

For those Anglophiles out there, tonight (Sunday) PBS begins an eight-part series on Queen Victoria, in the same mold as Downton Abbey. The newspaper review is glowing. I set my DVR for it.

I just set mine too.
Thanks for the heads up.

I stuck with the books. Even season one felt wrong, to me. I didn't feel it caught the feel of the High Lonesome.

Season 5 was a huge disappointment. I think because they are nowhere near the books anymore. Walt and Henry fighting was just wrong. They are life long friends and got through Vietnam together. The whole idea of Henry becoming a murderer sucked too.

Some of you guys are saying there's going to be a season six? I thought the series was done canned and cancelled after the 5th.

Things really get weird in the last two episodes.

I read somewhere the series was not appealing to the younger viewer target group that was hoped for and the show was cancelled...as in no season 6.

I hope that is wrong...wife and I enjoyed it.
