Look what I turned a Glock 17 into!

Your deal could almost fall in the catagory of abuse of power under the color of authority. ;) Dude, you stole that one. Guess which gun will hold its value? Not the glock. 17's are a dime a dozen. Enjoy that beast!

What loads were you shooting? Personally I have found that a good heavy .44 special is all I've ever needed. Yes I shoot full magnums but just like Harry Callahan said. . "I prefer light specials". After 30+ years of working with the .44, I know I have a lot more fun with the 900-1000 fps loads. I go to the heavy magnum hardcast when in big nasty bear country, but never found anything that I couldn't do with a good .44 special including some pretty good sized mule deer. Try them, you will like them. Congrats on a great deal. Makes me wonder why I keep my Glocks except I can't find a good replacement around here.

""It has been awhile since I shot a 44 Magnum and never with full bark stag stocks and a Tyler-T, so I did not know what to expect. It was still cool in North Georgia at 0905 this morning (range quite hours end at 0900), so I carefully aimed from the 15 yard line and let her rip. ""

I had a "friend" who owned a .44mg. Real cutesy fellow. We went into our favorite wooded place to shoot. I had never fired a 44, so I was a tad excited about it. My GOOD BUDDY told me to empty it out.

I was in my late teens, and couldn't wait. So I emptied it.
I have had ear splitting tinnitus ever since. I was completely deaf for two days, and scared to death I would never hear again.

I can hear " most " low sounds. But am missing out on a lot. Beware...use good ear cover.
