I am looking for some help here I have a 460V and 460pc 2-5/8" I really wanted a Lew horton 7.5" 460 and my backup was a 7.5" Bone Collector but those are getting up there in price now. I was looking around at the 460PC 10.5" I really like the integral scope rail and was curious how the 10.5" 460 compares to the 7-8" 460 revolvers such as handling balance etc. I know with compensater the 7.5" is really 9" the 10.5" is 11-3/4". Is the 10.5" barrel a bipod only pistol or is it still able to be shot offhand well? What kind of holsters are people using for the 10.5" I figure a guide type holster but didn't see any options for the 10.5" barrel would one have to go the custom route? Just looking for any and all info on the 10.5" pc 460 thanks.

... was curious how the 10.5" 460 compares to the 7-8" 460 revolvers such as handling balance etc.

for me the 10.5" is front heavy and I typically shoot from sticks or support when hunting.

I use a cross chest holster when I do hunt with it.

I prefer the 7.5" barrel length guns for hunting.
There is nothing wrong with the standard production gun- what everyone calls the 8 5/8 ", it actually has a 7.5" barrel also. The only advantage the PC guns have is the integrated rail.

I think I will use one on my next pig outing with a solid insert in place of comp.

The Bone collector is a little heavier than other 7.5" models and find recoil is reduced.

They also made a 6.5" which i find has good balance and have used on a number of outing.

Good luck and be safe

Hi ruggyh I was hoping you would see this since you have every 460 going :) so I should just keep holding out for the Lew Horton then? Was the Lew Horton the only stainless integral rail 460 in 7.5"what do you prefer the Bone Collector or the Lew Horton?
I am picturing something that is portable, can be shot offhand easy to mount a scope on and a barrel length that makes the most of the velocity of the 460. I was considering the 10.5" just because its easier to get and bit cheaper what would be a good price for a Lew Horton? Thanks again for your help.
