Welcome! Prefix CLV appears to be from 2004 but others here track these closely and should be able to narrow that down. It is a 686-6, correct?

I have not picked this revolver up yet have put a deposit down Yes it is a 686 357Mag 6inch barrel 6 shot.
One other question I have heard that Smith and wesson had some problems with the hole that was drilled into the shank was out of line is this model effected by this? I have been told that this problem has been fixed now. I love these Revolvers and plan to purchase a 617 ten shot .22LR also and maybe a 4inch 357 Mag. thank you in advance.

Not sure what "the hole drilled into the shank" is, but if you are referring to the internal lock (above the "thumb piece"/cylinder latch on the left frame) it can pretty much be ignored. It disables the gun when used but will not affect the gun's function.
